The course
The Isle of Harris Golf Club is located in Scarista on the Hebridian island’s West Coast - one of the world’s finest settings for a nine-hole outing.
Established in 1930, the club is now considered to be a first-class links course.
Once called ‘one of the world’s top hidden sporting gems’, it’s easy to see why; bordered on one side by the Sound of Taransay, leading onto the Atlantic Ocean while Harris’s famous white beaches glisten its western horizon.
The course has been played by famous professionals of the sport including Nick Faldo and Ronan Rafferty and despite only being 9 holes, throws more than a few natural hazards to keep serious players on their toes.
Your itinerary
Flying to Stornoway from Glasgow over the beautiful inner Hebridean islands, a car rental will be waiting on arrival, courtesy of the friendly team at Car Hire Hebrides – complete with Sat Nav to reach the destination with ease.
After just over an hour’s drive through the wild landscapes of Lewis and Harris, the dramatic course awaits.
After the game, drive a short distance to the Machair Kitchen for a two-course lunch served with jaw-dropping ocean views, before the drive back to the airport and flight back to Glasgow.
For this particular golf-day guests can choose to opt for either a self-drive option or guided by a chauffeur, with the added option to stop at other sights along the way.

Prices are subject to availability.
In the event of delays or weather disruption, if these impact on the time available for your day-away, you will be given the option to change to an alternative date. Min of 2, maximum group size of 7 may also apply depending on car availability.

A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking, with the balance payable no later than 6 weeks prior to departure.
If booked within 6 weeks of departure, full payment is required.
Lunch consists of 2 courses, with meat & vegetable options + tea/coffee. Other drinks are extra. The rental car is subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement with Car Hire Hebrides.
It is strongly recommended you seek adequate travel insurance for your trip.
